.6. Using Additional Functions
Louver Swing Function
Press the SWING button to activate louver movement.
Pressing SWING moves the horizontal louvers up and down automatically.
Press again to stop louver movement.
Hold this button for more than 2 seconds to move the vertical louvers (depending on the model).
Airflow Direction
By holding the SWING button, you can choose one of five airflow directions. Each press moves the louvers within a certain range. Continue pressing until the desired airflow direction is reached.
(!)
Note:
When the unit is off, press and hold the MODE and SWING buttons simultaneously for 1 second. The louvers will open to a certain angle for cleaning convenience. Press and hold the same buttons again for 1 second to return the louvers to their original position (depending on the model).
LED Display
1. Press the LED button to turn the indoor unit display on or off.
2. Press and hold the LED button for more than 5 seconds (available on some models).
Holding the LED button for more than 5 seconds makes the indoor unit display the actual room temperature.
Press and hold the button again for more than 5 seconds to revert the display to the set temperature.
.ECO/GEAR Function (for some units)
Press the X-ECO button to cycle through the power-saving levels in the following sequence:
ECO → GEAR (75%) → GEAR (50%) → Previously selected mode → ECO...
(!)
Note:
This function is available only in Cooling mode.
Economy Mode (ECO)
In Cooling mode, press this button to automatically set the temperature to 24 °C / 75 °F and switch the fan speed to automatic mode — this reduces energy consumption (if the set temperature is below 24 °C / 75 °F). If the set temperature is above 24 °C / 75 °F, pressing ECO will change the fan speed to automatic while keeping the current temperature setting.
(!)
Note:
Pressing ECO, changing the operating mode, or lowering the temperature below 24 °C / 75 °F will disable ECO mode.
For proper operation in ECO mode, the temperature must be set to 24 °C / 75 °F or higher. Otherwise, cooling efficiency may be insufficient. If you feel discomfort, press ECO again to exit Economy mode.
Reduced Power Mode (GEAR)
Press the ECO/GEAR button to enter reduced power mode as follows:
75% (power consumption up to 75%) → 50% (power consumption up to 50%) → Previous mode.
In GEAR mode, the remote control display alternates between showing power consumption and the set temperature.
SHORTCUT Function (for some models)
Pressing this button while the remote control is on will automatically restore the system to its previous settings, including operating mode, set temperature, fan speed, and SLEEP function (if it was active).
Holding the button for more than 2 seconds will save the current settings, including operating mode, set temperature, fan speed, and SLEEP function (if it was active).
Silent Mode
Press and hold the fan speed button for more than 2 seconds to enable or disable Silent mode (for some models).
Since the compressor runs at low speed in this mode, cooling or heating performance may be reduced. Pressing the ON/OFF, MODE, SLEEP, TURBO, or CLEAN button will exit Silent mode.
FP Function
Press this button twice while in Heating mode with the set temperature at 16 °C / 60 °F or 20 °C / 68 °F.
The unit will start operating at high fan speed (with the compressor running) and with the temperature automatically set to 8 °C / 46 °F.
(!)
Note:
Only heat pump models are equipped with this function. Press this button twice in Heating mode at 16 °C / 60 °F or 20 °C / 68 °F to activate FP mode.
Pressing ON/OFF, SLEEP, MODE, fan speed, or temperature buttons will exit this mode.
Lock Function
Press and hold the Clean and Turbo buttons simultaneously for more than 5 seconds to lock the remote control buttons. When locked, pressing any button will have no effect. To unlock, press and hold these buttons for 2 seconds.
.SET Function
• Press the SET button to enter the function setting mode. Then press SET, TEMP
, or TEMP
to select the desired function. When the icon of the selected mode flashes on the display, press OK to confirm.
• To cancel a selected function, repeat the above procedure.
• Press SET to cycle through functions in the following order:
Breeze mode → Air purification mode → Sleep mode → Follow Me function → AP mode
[*] If the remote control has dedicated buttons for Breeze, Air Purification, or Sleep mode, the SET button cannot be used to select these modes.
Breeze Function (for some units)
This function prevents direct airflow onto the body and provides a pleasant cooling sensation.
(!)
Note:
Available only in Cooling, Fan, and Dehumidification modes.
Air Purification Function (for some units)
When activated, the air purification function turns on an ion generator to help clean the indoor air.
Sleep Mode
Sleep mode reduces power consumption while you sleep (when you do not require the same temperature settings for comfort). This function can be activated only from the remote control.
For detailed operation, refer to the main operating instructions.
(!)
Note:
Sleep mode is not available in Fan or Dehumidification modes.
Follow Me Function
This function measures the temperature at the remote control location and sends the reading to the air conditioner every 3 minutes.
Measuring the temperature at the remote control (instead of at the indoor unit) allows the air conditioner in AUTO, COOL, or HEAT mode to maintain optimal comfort at your location.
(!)
Note:
Press and hold the Turbo button for 7 seconds to enable or disable the Follow Me memory function.
• When enabled, “On” appears on the screen for 3 seconds.
• When disabled, “OF” appears on the screen for 3 seconds.
• If memory mode is enabled, turning the unit on/off, changing modes, or power interruptions will not cancel the Follow Me function.
AP Function (for some models)
AP mode is used for wireless network configuration. On some models, this mode cannot be enabled using the SET button. To enter AP mode, press the LED button seven times within 10 seconds.
