Safety Precautions
• Study this manual thoroughly to familiarize yourself with the device.
• Device operation is deemed to commence once it is installed in the vehicle. Before using the device in winter conditions, it is recommended to warm up the passenger compartment for 20 minutes or until the device’s operating temperature range is reached.
• Using the device outside its operating temperature range significantly reduces the service life of the display and other components and may result in device failure.
• During installation and wiring, disconnect the vehicle battery’s negative terminal.
• When replacing the fuse, ensure you install a fuse with the same rating. Using a fuse with a higher current rating may cause severe damage to the device.
• Do not use the device in places where it may be exposed to water, moisture, or dust.
• Ensure that pins or other foreign objects do not enter the device. They may cause malfunctions or present a hazard or fire risk.
• Do not open the covers and do not repair the device yourself. Contact a dealer or qualified personnel.
• Ensure you disconnect the power source and the antenna if you will not use the device for an extended period or during a thunderstorm.
• Ensure you disconnect the power source if a malfunction is detected, the system emits unusual sounds or odors, smoke is present, or liquid has entered the unit. Have the system inspected by qualified service personnel.
• The device is designed for the negative battery terminal to be connected to the vehicle chassis. Please confirm this before installation.
• Do not allow speaker wires to touch each other or the vehicle body after the device is powered on. Otherwise, the amplifier may be overloaded or fail.

Installation/Connection
General Information
• Before final installation, temporarily connect all wires and make sure that all connections are correct and the device and system operate properly.
• To ensure proper installation, use only the parts supplied with the device. Using other accessories may cause malfunctions.
• If installation requires drilling holes in the vehicle body or making other changes to its design, consult the dealer.
• Install the device so that it does not obstruct the driver’s view or distract from traffic conditions and cannot injure passengers in the event of a sudden stop, such as emergency braking.
• Never install the device where it will be exposed to high temperatures, for example, in direct sunlight, near the vehicle heater outlet, in very dirty or dusty places, or where the device will be subject to strong vibration.
Installing the Device in the Vehicle Dashboard
1. Vehicle dashboard.
2. Metal tab of the mounting sleeve.
• Insert the mounting sleeve into the vehicle dashboard, ensure it is oriented correctly and that there are no obstructions (wires, dashboard elements) preventing the head unit from being installed.
• After installing the mounting sleeve in the dashboard, bend the metal tabs corresponding to the dashboard thickness. This will secure the sleeve in place.
• Connect the required wires and connectors. Verify correct connections.
• Insert the head unit into the mounting sleeve until the side latches lock.
.Removing the Device
1. Make sure the ignition is off, then disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Insert both removal keys into the slots on the right and left sides of the device’s front decorative frame, then, holding the keys, pull the unit out of the dashboard toward you.

Notes:
• Regardless of speaker type, use speakers with an impedance of 4 ? to reduce distortion at high volume levels.
• Do not connect the auto antenna wire and the ground wire to each other.

General Operations
Power On/Off
Press and hold the
button to turn the device on. Press this button again to turn the device off.
Resetting the Device
When turning on the device for the first time or after battery replacement, you must reinitialize it. Press the RESET button (aperture) on the inner panel with a pointed object (e.g., a ballpoint pen); factory settings will be restored.
If the device malfunctions, you can press the RESET button to clear user settings.
Selecting an Operating Mode
Press the MOD/CLK button to select a mode: Radio, AUX, or USB/SD. The USB/SD mode is available only when the corresponding media is connected to the device.
Volume Adjustment
You can adjust the volume level by rotating the VOL control.
Clock
Press the CLK button to display the time. Press and hold this button to set the clock, rotate the volume control to set the desired time.
Parameter Settings
In radio or player mode, press the VOL control (SEL button) to select values for ST/MONO and dH/LOC/CH/STEP (i.e., radio stereo/mono, near/far radio ranges, manual radio tuning, and frequency step), rotate the VOL control to set the selected parameter.
In player mode, press the VOL control (SEL button) to select BAL (balance) and EQ (equalizer) parameters, rotate the VOL control to set the selected parameter.
Also in player mode, press and hold this control to select files, rotate the control and press and hold it to select and play a file or folder.
AUX Input
The AUX jack is intended for connecting an external audio device for signal amplification. When connected correctly, the audio signal from the external source will be reproduced through the head unit’s speakers. This allows volume and sound quality adjustment. For example, you can connect an MP3 player to listen to recordings through the vehicle’s audio system.
.Radio Operations
Band Selection
Press the BND/AMS button to select a band: FM1 → FM2 → FM3. Up to 6 stations can be stored in each band.
Station Search
• In radio mode, press the VOL control three times to select the "CH" parameter and rotate the control to select the "STEP" parameter, after which you can search for stations manually using the
or
keys. After 5 seconds of inactivity, the system will revert to the "CH" parameter.
• In the "STEP" manual tuning mode, press the
or
button to store a station. The selected frequency will flash three times on the screen to confirm storage.
• Press and hold the
or
button. The device will start automatic search for the nearest station with a strong signal downwards or upwards in the band.
Storing and Recalling Stations
• Press and hold the BND/AMS button to start automatic search and store 6 stations with the strongest signals in the current band.
• Press the

buttons to select the previous or next stored station.
USB/MicroSD (TF) Operations
Loading MicroSD Cards
Insert a microSD card into the corresponding slot on the front panel. Playback of the first track will start. To remove the card, press it until it clicks, then take the card out of the slot.
USB Port
Insert a USB storage device into the USB port on the front panel. Playback of the first track will start automatically.
Information on USB/MicroSD Interfaces
USB: USB 2.0 supported. Capacity: up to 16 GB. SD: Capacity: up to 16 GB. The device supports FAT/FAT32 file systems.
(!) Note: the device may not play certain models of USB drives and memory cards. Use only licensed storage media from well-known brands. Before removing a storage device from the unit, switch the unit to another operating mode.
Track Selection
Press the

button to select the next or previous track. Press and hold this button to start fast-forward or fast-rewind; release the button to return to normal playback.
Troubleshooting Guide
Below is a table of simple checks that can help you resolve most issues that may occur while using this device. If the measures listed below do not help, contact a service center or an authorized dealer.

Cleaning the Device Housing
Wipe the device surfaces with a soft cloth. Do not wet the housing. If the housing is very dirty, use a cloth slightly moistened with a mild soap solution, then wipe the housing dry with a soft cloth.

The service life of products bearing the SOUNDMAX trademark, when used for domestic purposes and in compliance with the operating rules set out in the manual, is 5 (five) years from the date the product is transferred to the consumer. The service life is established in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation. The manufacturer draws consumers’ attention to the fact that, when these conditions are observed, the service life may significantly exceed the period specified by the manufacturer. The warranty for accessories is 2 weeks from the date of purchase; thereafter, the warranty applies only to the device itself. The products are certified for compliance with the regulatory documents of the Russian Federation (GOST, SNiP, Standards, etc.)
Warranty Terms
1. Warranty period: 12 (twelve) months from the date the product is transferred to the Consumer.
2. Warranty repair is performed at Authorized Service Centers.
3. The warranty conditions do not include periodic maintenance, installation, or setup of the product at the owner’s home.
4. The Consumer has the right to submit claims to the manufacturer as provided by the Law of the Russian Federation “On Consumer Rights Protection” during the warranty period.
5. The Consumer must comply with the rules for safe operation and storage of the product.
6. The warranty is void in cases of: violations of operating rules, mechanical damage, tampering with the warranty seal, incorrect connection of the product, or entry of foreign objects into the unit.
7. The manufacturer’s warranty obligations do not extend to: – replaceable power elements (batteries, accumulators), additional accessories included in the package and subject to natural wear during operation; – malfunctions caused by third-party applications (melodies, graphic, video and other files, Java and similar programs); – damage (defects) caused by computer viruses and similar programs, installation, change or deletion of device passwords (codes), modification and/or reinstallation of the preinstalled device software.
