CONTROL

On/Off:

Briefly press the «» button to turn the controller and its output signals on or off. When turned off, the set controller modes are written to memory (EEPROM).

Setting the temperature:

With the controller turned on, press the «▲ ▼» buttons to raise or lower the required temperature in 0.5°C (1°F) steps.

Heating modes:

With the controller turned on, press the «» button several times to select the heating operating mode; the symbols « + STG 1» — first heating stage or valve activation; « +STG 2» — second heating stage; «» — no heating will flash on the display. Within 3 seconds after the last press, the mode will be set.

Heating control:

If the heating mode is set to the first stage (valve activation) « + STG 1», and the set temperature is higher than the room temperature by 0.5°C (1°F) or more, then the heating mode becomes active and «» lights up on the display; otherwise, the first stage (valve) will not be switched on.

If the heating mode is set to the second heating stage « +STG 2», and the set temperature is higher than the room temperature by 0.5°C (1°F) or more, then both the first and second heating stages become active and « + » lights up on the display; otherwise, the first and second stages will not be active.

Selecting the fan speed:

With the controller turned on, press the «» button to select the required fan rotation speed: «» (high), «» (medium), «» (low).

Selecting the unit C°/F°:

With the controller turned off, press « + » and hold them for 3 seconds to enter the menu. Then select the temperature unit using the «▲ ▼» buttons.

.

PARAMETER SETTING

With the controller turned off, press and hold the «» button for 3 seconds to enter the parameter menu. The large digits will display the parameter value, and to the right of the value the parameter number (small digits) will be displayed. Then press «» to select the parameter number and «▲ ▼» to change its value.

Parameter numberNameDefault valueParameter value
01 Low-temperature protection01: enabled00: disabled01: enabled
02 Button lock00: disabled00: disabled01: enabled
03 Fan shutoff upon reaching the set temperature (for fan heaters)00: disabled00: disabled01: enabled
04 Energy-saving mode00: disabled00: disabled01: enabled

Low-temperature protection

With the controller turned on, when the room temperature falls below minus 20°C (-4°F), the low fan speed and the first heating stage/valve are switched on automatically; «» is displayed. When the room temperature reaches minus 15°C (5°F), the low-temperature protection will switch off, «» disappears from the display, and the controller resumes operation in the previously set mode.

Controller button lock

When the button lock parameter is enabled, after 30 seconds «» appears on the display and all buttons on the controller are locked; however, the remote control can change the configured modes. To disable the button lock, press and hold «» for 6 seconds until «» disappears. Then, within a 30-second interval, you must disable the button lock parameter.

Fan shutoff upon reaching the set temperature:

When the parameter is enabled, once the ambient air temperature reaches the temperature set on the controller, the Hi, Me, Lo, H1 and H2 outputs are switched off (i.e., the fan and heating are switched off). If the ambient air temperature drops below the temperature set on the controller, the Hi, Me, Lo, H1 and H2 outputs are switched on (i.e., the fan and heating are switched on).

Energy-saving mode:

When the parameter is enabled, once the ambient air temperature reaches the temperature set on the controller, the Hi or Me outputs switch to Lo (i.e., if high or medium speed was enabled, it switches to low). If the ambient air temperature drops below the temperature set on the controller, the speed returns to its previous setting. Parameter 4 has priority over parameter 3.

REMOTE CONTROL

The HL10 can be controlled remotely using the additional remote control (included). Such control is identical to that described above, with the exception of options for switching the temperature units and parameter setting (these options can be controlled only from the HL10 controller). Pay attention to the angular position of the infrared source and the maximum distance.

Batteries: type 2 x AAA LR03 1.5V (included).

INSTALLATION

HL10/HL10L controller — opening the enclosure for mounting

1. Insert a flat slotted screwdriver (3.5 mm) into the lower latches to separate the two panels.

HL10/HL10L controller — fixing the back panel to the wall
.

2. Route the wires and fasten the rear part of the panel with two screws (included).

HL10/HL10L controller — connecting wires to the terminal block

3. Connect the wires to the terminal block according to the wiring diagram.

HL10/HL10L controller — snapping the front panel back on

4. Align the upper panel retainers and snap the lower part into place. Installation is complete.

Use the controller only indoors. It must be installed on an interior wall at approximately 1.5 meters above the floor, in a location where it will quickly respond to general changes in room temperature. Air circulation at this location must be unobstructed. Avoid installing the controller near heat sources (televisions, heaters, refrigerators), in direct sunlight, as well as in rooms where there is a risk of direct moisture exposure or condensation (without special moisture protection).

(!) NOTE: Make sure that the wires are connected strictly in accordance with the controller wiring diagram, and do not expose them to dirt, water or other materials to prevent wire damage.

ALARM INDICATION

Error code «E1» — temperature sensor failure.
Error code «EE» — EEPROM failure.
Error code «HI» — room temperature above plus 40°C (99°F).
Error code «LO» — room temperature below 0°C (32°F).
