Cutting Guides (Comb Attachments)
Setting the Comb Attachments
With the 5 comb guides (1/3/6/9/12 mm) for haircuts, and one adjustable comb (1–12 mm) for the precision trimmer included in the set, you can adjust the cutting length up to 12 mm (with a comb guide installed). Different styles can be achieved to meet various haircut needs at home.
Cutting lengths are as follows:
With comb guides: 1–3–6–9–12 mm (length is marked on the comb).
With adjustable comb: 1 to 12 mm.
• To install any type of protective comb on the cutting head, place the front part of the comb over the teeth of the cutting blade. Then press down on the center with your fingers or palm.
• To remove a protective comb, gently pull the back part of the comb toward you, then detach it from the cutting element.
(!) Note: For your first haircut, start with the comb set to the maximum length to familiarize yourself with the device.
(!)
Important:
Always switch off the device before installing or removing comb attachments.
Installing and Removing Trimming Attachments
(!) Note: Always ensure the device is switched off before changing attachments.
To install an attachment, place it onto the top of the device.
Installing and Removing the Adjustable Comb on the T-Blade/Precision Trimmer
To install, align the comb guides with the slot on the device until securely fixed.
By pressing the adjustment button (or rotating the adjustment wheel, depending on the comb model) on the back of the comb, you can change the cutting length, as indicated on the comb.
To remove, press and hold the adjustment button, slide the comb upwards, and remove it from the device.
Removable Blade System
The removable blade system allows quick switching from the standard-width blade for full haircuts to the narrow blade for detailed trimming of mustaches, goatees, or uneven hair.
To remove a blade, simply pull the top edge away from the body. To install, align the rear tab of the blade head with the slot on the trimmer block and press down on the top of the blade.
T-Blade
For an even haircut, allow the trimmer to cut through the hair naturally. Do not rush the process by pressing down manually.
Select the desired length on the adjustable comb or choose one of the comb guides.
When using the 5 comb guides (1/3/6/9/12 mm):
• Start by combing the hair in its natural direction.
• Attach the largest comb guide and begin cutting the sides from bottom to top.
• Gently press the trimmer so that the comb teeth point upward and stay close to the head.
• Slowly move the trimmer upward and outward, cutting only a small amount at a time.
• Repeat on the sides and back of the head.
Styling Trimmer (Narrow Trimmer for Detailing)
Use the styling trimmer to create thin lines and contours around the face, close to the skin.
• Hold the trimmer head perpendicular to the skin and move it up or down with light pressure.
Nose and Ear Trimmer
• Attach the nose, ear, and eyebrow trimmer head.
• Carefully insert the cutting block into the nostril or ear.
• Gently move the groomer in and out with a slight rotating motion.
(!) Important: Do not insert the cutting block deeper than 6 mm into the nostril.
Precision Trimmer
1 adjustable comb (1–12 mm) is included for the precision trimmer.
• Select the desired length on the adjustable comb or choose one of the comb guides.
• Hold the device with the cutting blade facing you.
• Start at the edge of the beard/mustache line and, gently pressing the blades against the skin, move slowly to form the desired contour.
(!) Important: Attach the beard guard comb to the full-size trimmer for even trimming of beard and mustache. The length settings are indicated on the guard combs and correspond to the remaining hair length after trimming.
Shaving Head (Foil Shaver)
• Hold the device so that the foil shaver lightly touches the face.
• For shaving around the beard/mustache, use short, controlled strokes. Stretch the skin with your free hand to help hair stand upright for easier shaving.
Usage
It is recommended to start with the highest setting and then reduce to achieve the desired hair length.
Switch the device on by pressing the power button once to enter normal mode, and again to switch off.
Hold the comb edge at an angle against the beard and guide the clipper against the direction of hair growth.
To prevent clogging, occasionally clean the comb with the brush.
Using the Device with Mains Power
(!) Important: This device is designed for both corded and cordless operation.
If you need to continue using the clipper with a partially discharged battery, connect the power adapter plug to the device, then plug the adapter into a socket and switch on the clipper with the power button.
Before Haircutting
Before use, ensure the clipper is functioning properly and adequately lubricated with oil.
Seat the person so their head is approximately at eye level. Cover shoulders with a towel and thoroughly comb the hair.
Haircutting Recommendations
- When using the clipper, it is recommended to work with dry hair, as wet hair is harder to control when trimming.
- Cut a small amount of hair in each pass; repeat on the same section if necessary for better leveling.
- Comb the hair regularly to identify uneven areas and correct the cut.
- For smooth transitions between lengths, leave the hair slightly longer, then gradually shorten it.
- Use the clipper base to model the desired hairstyle shape.
Haircut with Comb Attachments
Use the 5 guide comb attachments (1/3/6/9/12 mm) for haircuts, and one adjustable comb (1–12 mm) for the precision trimmer. Adjustment is performed by pressing (or turning) the button only when the clipper is switched off.
Choose the required length depending on the desired result.
Step 1
Select the desired hair length using the 5 guide comb attachments or by adjusting the position of the adjustable comb.
Switch on the clipper using the power button.
Hold the clipper with the blades pointing upward.
Start cutting from the nape, slowly moving the clipper upward.
Trim the hair at the nape and around the ears.
Step 2
Switch off the clipper, set the comb to a longer length, and continue trimming at the crown.
Step 3 — Temple Area
Switch off the clipper, set the comb to a short length (1–3 mm), and trim the temples.
Then adjust the comb to 4–7 mm (or another appropriate length) and continue trimming toward the crown.
Step 4 — Top Area
Use the comb set to 4–7 mm (or another required length) and trim from the crown toward the top area, following the natural hair growth direction.
(!)
Note:
Hair can be cut either against or along the natural growth direction. Cutting against the growth results in a shorter length compared to cutting along the growth.
For short cuts, use a comb setting of 1 or 2 mm.
If longer hair is required, lift strands with fingers or a comb and cut with the clipper.
For accurate leveling, comb hair upward before trimming.
When starting from the nape, comb the hair to identify uneven strands.
Step 5 — Final Touch
At the final stage of styling, remove the comb from the clipper.
Carefully trim the hair on the neck and temples, avoiding strong pressure to prevent skin injury.
Tapered Cut
Set the comb to 6 mm (or another required length) and start cutting from the nape toward the crown.
Trim hair against the growth direction, moving from the front to the crown, as well as on the sides.
Flat-Top Haircut
For a flat-top style, use a comb: lift hair with the comb and cut along the line of the comb.
After finishing, comb the hair to identify and correct any uneven areas.
USB Charging
The VGR V 107 hair clipper is portable and can be charged anywhere using a USB cable. Equipped with a built-in battery, full charging time is 2 hours, providing about 150 minutes of operation. Charging is performed via the USB cable (included). The device can be charged from a power bank, adapters (5V==1A), or a computer.
During charging and operation at normal speed, the indicator shows the current battery level.
When fully charged and in turbo mode, the indicator shows 100%.
Charging Recommendations
Fully charge the battery before first use or after long-term storage.
Charge the battery at a temperature between +10 °C and +35 °C.
If the clipper has not been used for over a month, perform a full charging cycle before use.
To extend battery life, it is recommended to fully discharge it before recharging.
Charging time should not exceed 6 hours.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Always switch off the device and unplug it from the mains before cleaning.
Use a soft damp cloth for cleaning the device.
Never use detergents or solvents for cleaning.
After use, remove the cutting guide and clean the clipper body and blades with the cleaning brush.
Install the protective cap (if provided) after use; store the device only with the cap attached.
(!) Note: The cutting blade is secured with screws.
Blade Lubrication
Blades must be lubricated after each use.
• Switch off the clipper and unplug the adapter if connected.
• Remove hair from the cutting blade with the brush.
• Apply 1–2 drops of oil to the blade teeth and run the device for a few seconds to distribute the oil evenly.
• Switch off the device and wipe off excess oil with a dry cloth.
(!) Warning! Use only the oil supplied with the device. DO NOT use vegetable oil, grease, or mixtures of oil with solvents. Solvents evaporate, leaving thick oil residues that may slow down the blades.
