Thermostat temperature controller with display and external sensor Techmeter W1209. Operating and programming manual

Programmable Thermostat W1209 Operating Manual

W1209 Thermostat User Guide

1. Description

The programmable thermostat is designed to control the temperature in the range from -50°C to +110°C. It can operate together with a heater or a cooler. The programmable thermostat is equipped with a three-digit LED display, a relay activation LED indicator, large control buttons, a connector for an external temperature sensor, terminals “K0/K1” for load connection, and “+I2V/GND” for powering the thermostat board. The liquid crystal screen shows the current measured temperature.

The thermostat features a three-digit indicator (HS310281K), displaying temperatures from -50°C to +110°C. Temperatures from -10°C to -50°C and from 100°C to 110°C are displayed without a decimal fraction, which is sufficient for household use. The board also includes a red LED “LED1” that duplicates the relay activation.

The thermostat supports two modes of operation: “C” (cooling) and “H” (heating). The mode is changed using three control buttons.

3. Preparation for operation

1) Connect the 12V DC power source to the “+12V” (plus 12V) and “GND” (minus 12V) terminals.

2) Connect the load to the “K0” and “K1” terminals (connect in series with the power supply circuit of the controlled device). After supplying 12V power to the “+12V” and “GND” terminals, the liquid crystal display will show the current temperature measured by the external temperature sensor.

4. Setting and adjusting the desired temperature

To set the control temperature, briefly press the "SET" button, then use the “+” or “-” buttons to set the desired temperature, and press the "SET" button again, or do not press any buttons for 5 seconds.

5. Programming the W1209 thermostat

To enter programming mode, hold down the “SET” button for 5 seconds, then use the “+” or “-” buttons to select the parameter code (P0...P6) from the “Thermostat Menu” table. Next, to configure the parameter, press the “SET” button and use the “+” or “-” buttons to change the parameter value. To save the settings, press and hold the “SET” button, or do not press any buttons for 5 seconds.

Thermostat menu:

Parameter codeParameter descriptionAdjustment rangeDefault
P0Thermostat operating mode: Cooling/HeatingC/HC

6. Indication

The LED display displays the following values:
- “LLL” – sensor not connected,
- “HHH” – temperature out of range (below -50°C or above 110°C),
- “—” exceeding the limits set in parameter P6

7. Resetting parameters to factory settings

To reset parameters to factory settings (default settings):
1) Turn off the power;
2) Press and hold the “+” and “-” buttons;
3) Supply power to the thermostat. The LED display will show “888”, after which the current temperature will be displayed.
