1. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

When purchasing the device, request a functionality check and verify the contents of the package. Ensure that the warranty and detachable coupons bear the store stamp, legible signature or seller’s stamp, and the date of sale. After moving the device from a cold environment to a warm room, it must be kept in that room for at least two hours before connecting. The device is intended for operation at an ambient temperature from -10°C to +45°C. Storage is recommended in the factory packaging in a dry room at an ambient temperature from +5°C to +35°C. (!) Note. When purchasing the telephone set for the first installation, it is also necessary to purchase one socket with capacitor (RINK-4) and additional sockets without capacitor (RTSh-4) for all locations in the apartment where the telephone set is to be used.

3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To avoid accidents, it is prohibited to connect disassembled devices and plugs to the subscriber telephone line.

4. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE

The telephone set with rotary dialer is designed for operation with automatic telephone exchanges (PBX) at an exchange battery voltage of (60+12-6) V. The "Telta-308" telephone set has a 2-core line cord.

The device provides the following functions:
1) engaging the exchange, receiving the exchange response, dialing a number;
2) adjusting the ringer volume level;
3) terminating a call by replacing the handset or pressing the switch hook key.

Additional functions of the device are available when replacing the 2-core cord with a 4-core cord.

The electrical circuit diagram of the device is provided in Appendix 1.

The connection diagram of an additional device is provided in Appendix 2.

The connection diagram of an additional socket and blocking device is provided in Appendix 3.

The connection diagram of an additional ringing device is provided in Appendix 4.

5. PREPARATION FOR OPERATION

Connection of the device socket must be performed only by the telecommunications enterprise specialists servicing your subscriber line, for an additional fee. At the owner’s request, two telephone sockets may be installed in different locations.

6. OPERATING PROCEDURE

6.1. Connect the device to the PBX line.
6.2. Verify the connection with the exchange by lifting the handset.
6.3. Dial the number of a known subscriber. Correct dialing is confirmed by the response of the called subscriber.
6.4. Ask the subscriber to call you. The mechanical ringer volume control is located on the base of the device. The service life of the device depends on proper operation. Avoid excessive or sudden tension on the cord. After finishing a conversation, ensure the handset is properly replaced.

7. MAINTENANCE OF THE DEVICE

Remove dirt and dust from the surface using a soft cloth (flannel), moistened if necessary with a soap solution. Do not use gasoline, acetone, or other substances that dissolve plastic.

8. WARRANTY OBLIGATIONS

The manufacturer guarantees compliance of the device with the technical specifications 0.218.104 TU provided the owner follows the operating rules stated in the manual. Warranty period of operation — 6 months from the date of sale through retail distribution. Warranty storage period — 12 months from the date of manufacture. If the warranty and detachable coupons lack the sale date and store stamp, the warranty period is counted from the date of manufacture. During the warranty period of operation, the owner has the right to free repair in case of malfunction, upon presenting the warranty coupon and the complete device. Without presenting the warranty and detachable coupons, claims regarding quality will not be accepted. During the warranty period, repair is at the owner’s expense if the device is operated in violation of this manual. The service life of the device is at least 20 years.
