The HTC-1 weather station can be placed on a table, windowsill, or other horizontal surface, or mounted on a wall. Information is easy to read thanks to the large LCD display and clear symbols, visible even from a distance. Low power consumption ensures long operation from a single battery.

Operating Instructions

Getting Started

Before use, remove the protective film from the display.

Insert one 1.5V AAA battery into the battery compartment, observing polarity. After a second, the display will show temperature, time, and humidity values. The device is ready for operation.

By default, the display shows the current time. The MODE button is used to switch between time/date display modes, 12/24-hour formats, time setting, and alarm setting. The ADJ button is used to adjust values. The MEMORY button shows maximum and minimum temperature/humidity values stored in memory and allows them to be reset.

Pressing the RESET button on the back resets all settings to factory defaults (12:00 in 24-hour format; default date 01/01).

Button Functions

MODE

Switches between current time and alarm time. Press MODE to toggle: current time (colon flashes) or alarm time (colon does not flash). In any mode, after 30 seconds of inactivity, the display returns to showing the current time.

ADJ

Switches between current time and month/date display. After 3 seconds of inactivity, the display returns to showing the current time.

MEMORY

Cycles through maximum, minimum, and current temperature/humidity values. Press MEMORY to display highest (“MAX”) and lowest (“MIN”) recorded values. After 9 seconds of inactivity, the display reverts to current readings.

To reset stored max/min values, enter their display mode and hold MEMORY for 2 seconds.

Setting Time and Date

• Enter current time display mode.
• Hold MODE until a beep sounds.
• Use ADJ to set minutes.
• Press MODE and set hours.
• Press MODE and choose 12h or 24h format.
• Press MODE and set month.
• Press MODE and set day.
• Press MODE again to exit.

Setting the Alarm

• Enter alarm time display mode.
• Press ADJ to select alarm options:
    - Alarm ON (indicator ).
    - Hourly chime (indicator Alarm).
    - Alarm + hourly chime (both indicators lit).
• Hold MODE until a beep sounds.
• Use ADJ to set alarm minutes.
• Press MODE and set alarm hours.
• Press MODE again to exit.

If is visible, the alarm is ON. To toggle alarm ON/OFF: press MODE once, then press ADJ. Confirm with MODE.

Switching Temperature Units

The °C/°F button on the back switches the temperature display between Celsius and Fahrenheit in time or date modes.

MAX/MIN Temperature and Humidity

Normally, the display shows current values. Press MEMORY once to see the maximum recorded values (symbol “MAX” appears). Press MEMORY again to see the minimum values (symbol “MIN”). A third press returns to current readings.

Usage Recommendations

Allow 15–60 minutes after powering on for accurate readings (longer if moved from cold to warm environments due to condensation). If the device malfunctions, press RESET. If no response, replace the battery.
