Manual for Wooden Desktop / Wall Electronic Clocks

This operating manual is suitable for most Chinese wooden desktop or wall clocks with digital time display.

Main features of VST 862 wooden electronic clock

Appearance and controls of VST 862

Two versions of the rear panel and control button arrangement are possible.

II. Display and button labels

Display symbols

1. Display mode selection: DP­1/DP­2

Press the SET button to switch between DP1↔DP2) (default — DP­2).

2. Power saving mode selection

Press the DOWN button to select between: "ON:SD"↔"­­­:SD"
• "ON:SD" – sound signal enabled
• "­­:SD" – sound signal disabled

3. Setting mode

Press the SET button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode.
In sequence, using the UP and DOWN buttons, set:
• Year (YEAR)→
• Month (MONTH)→
• Date (DATE)→
• 12 h / 24 h format→
• Hours (HOUR)→
• Minutes (MINUTE)→
• ALA1 (alarm 1)→
• ALA2 (alarm 2)→
• ALA3 (alarm 3)→
• "—Е" (alarm enabled on weekdays)

When the "YEAR" symbol is flashing, set the current year using the UP and DOWN buttons, and continue accordingly.

4. Temperature format selection

Press "UP" ? °С<→
°F to switch the temperature format.

5. Time display mode

In 12-hour display mode, the "PM" symbol lights up.

6. Brightness adjustment

Press and hold the UP button for 3 seconds to enter brightness setting mode. "L3" will appear. Press the DOWN button to decrease brightness ("L2" will appear). Press the UP button to increase brightness. Adjust within four levels L3­L2­L1­L0. After setting brightness, hold the UP button for 3 seconds to exit brightness setting mode.

7. Reset button

Any malfunction or operational failure caused by incorrect usage can be corrected using the RESET button.

Precautions

Please use the clock in a dry and cool place. Prolonged use in environments with high humidity, vibration, or high temperature may cause wooden parts to deteriorate.

• Do not expose the clock to direct sunlight.
• To prevent damage, avoid dropping the clock.
• Use only high-quality AAA alkaline batteries.
If the display brightness dims or flickers, this indicates low battery charge. Please replace the batteries.
• If battery fluid comes into contact with eyes, rinse them thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical assistance if necessary.
• Use a 5 V / 500–1000 mA power adapter. Please use only an adapter compatible with the device.
• Observe polarity when replacing (installing) batteries.
• Do not expose the clock to open flame.
