(!) Note: Due to software updates, the actual steps for connecting the device may differ; please follow the on-screen prompts.
Wi-Fi reset
If you encounter any Wi-Fi issues, reset the Wi-Fi settings to the default values.
To do this, press and hold the
and
buttons simultaneously until you hear the message that the device is waiting for network configuration. As soon as the indicator begins to flash slowly, the Wi-Fi will be reset.
Open the top cover. Press the system reset button using a paper clip or toothpick. Hold it until you hear the voice message "Restore factory settings" in English or Chinese. Release the Dreame F9 Robot Vacuum reset button. Allow Dreame time to restore default settings.
Powering on and off
Press and hold the
button to turn on the robot vacuum with mopping function. If the power indicator is steadily white, the robot vacuum is in standby mode.
To turn off the robot vacuum, press and hold the
button when it is stopped. Turning off the robot vacuum will end the current cleaning task.
Starting cleaning
After activation, the robot vacuum will clean each room using an S-shaped pattern and then move along walls and corners to finish. When cleaning is complete, it will automatically return to the dock to charge.
Cleaning modes
Four modes are available in the app: Quiet, Standard, Strong, and Turbo. Standard mode is set by default.
Pause/Sleep mode
Press any button to pause the robot vacuum during cleaning.
If no action is taken within 10 minutes, the robot vacuum will automatically enter sleep mode, and the power and charging indicators will turn off. Press any button to wake the robot vacuum.
(!) Note: The robot vacuum will not enter sleep mode until it is fully charged.
Local cleaning mode
If the robot vacuum is in standby or paused, press and hold the button for 3 seconds to enter spot cleaning mode. In this mode, it will clean an area of 1.5 x 1.5 meters around itself.
After spot cleaning is completed, the robot vacuum will automatically return to its initial position and power off.
Do Not Disturb mode
Do Not Disturb mode prevents the robot vacuum from automatically performing cleaning tasks. The power indicator remains off. You can disable Do Not Disturb mode or adjust its hours in the app.
(!)
Notes:
1. Scheduled cleaning will still be performed during the Do Not Disturb period;
2. The robot vacuum will resume cleaning after this period ends.
Scheduled cleaning
You can set a cleaning schedule in the Mi Home app. The robot vacuum with mopping function will automatically start cleaning at the set time and return to the dock for charging after completion.
Advanced features
The app can be used to configure advanced features such as selected room cleaning, zoned cleaning, and no-go zones (available when map saving is enabled).
.Mopping function
It is recommended to vacuum all floors at least three times before the first mopping session to achieve better cleaning performance.
1. Install the mopping pad
Moisten the pad and wring out excess water. Insert the pad fully into the slot of the water tank until it is securely fixed.
2. Fill the water tank
Open the water tank lid, fill it with water, and close the lid securely.
(!) Note: Do not use detergents or disinfectants!
3. Install the mopping module
Align it as shown in the illustration, then slide it into the rear of the robot vacuum until you hear a click.
(!)
Notes:
1. Use the mopping mode only when someone is at home. To prevent the robot vacuum from climbing onto carpets, you can use various objects as barriers;
2. Use the app to adjust the water flow.
4. Removing the water tank
Press the two side latches inward and slide the water tank backward to detach it from the robot.
(!) Notes: When the robot vacuum is charging or not in use, remove the mopping module, empty the remaining water from the tank, and clean the mopping pad to prevent mold and unpleasant odors.
