The Xiaomi Mijia 3C Sweeping Vacuum Cleaner is a robotic vacuum cleaner featuring a high-precision lidar-based navigation system that enables rapid and accurate creation and storage of maps for each room in your home. Using this map, the advanced dynamic route-planning system selects the most efficient path to clean each of your rooms in a short time. You can review this map, the robot’s current location, and cleaning progress using the Mi Home application, which also allows you to schedule and remotely control cleaning.

Operational Restrictions


• This device is intended for removing dust and debris from various surfaces (tile, parquet flooring, carpets, etc.).
• This appliance must not be used by persons (adults or children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or by persons lacking the necessary experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or instructed by a person responsible for their safety.
• Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
• Do not allow children to clean the appliance or perform maintenance without adult supervision.
• Keep the cleaning brush out of reach of children.
• Prevent hair and clothing edges from entering the openings and moving parts of the appliance. Do not touch these parts with fingers or any other body parts.
• Do not use the robot vacuum to collect flammable liquids.
• Do not lift the robot vacuum by the laser locator.
• Before cleaning or performing any maintenance operations, ensure that the robot vacuum is turned off and the charging dock is disconnected from the power supply.
• This robot vacuum is intended exclusively for cleaning residential floors. Do not use it outdoors, including open balconies, or on any surface other than a floor (for example, on a sofa), and do not use it in commercial or industrial premises.
• Do not use the robot vacuum on elevated, unguarded surfaces — for example, on upper levels of premises, open balconies, or on top of furniture.
• Do not operate the robot vacuum at ambient temperatures above 40°C or below 0°C, or on floors with spilled liquids or sticky substances.
• Ensure that cables are not lying on the floor prior to using the robot vacuum to prevent the appliance from becoming entangled.
• Ensure that fragile or foreign objects are not on the floor, for example vases or plastic bags, to avoid collision and damage.
• Do not place children, animals, or any objects on the moving or stationary robot vacuum.
• Do not use the robot vacuum for cleaning carpeted flooring.
• Do not vacuum hard or sharp objects (for example, construction debris, glass, nails).
• Do not spray liquids inside the robot vacuum (ensure the dustbin is completely dry before installation).
• Do not turn the robot vacuum upside down (the laser locator must not touch the floor).

Battery and Charging

• Do not use third-party batteries, chargers, or charging docks. Use only with the BLJ24W200120P-V power adapter.
• Before removing the battery, disconnect the appliance from the mains supply.
• Battery replacement for this appliance must be performed only by qualified personnel.
• Do not clean robot vacuum components with a damp cloth or liquids.
• Do not use third-party batteries, chargers, or charging docks.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service center, or a qualified specialist to avoid hazards.
• Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the battery or charging dock yourself.
• Do not install the charging dock near heat sources (e.g., radiators).
• Dispose of used batteries properly. Before disposing of the robot vacuum, disconnect it from the mains and remove the battery. Ensure environmentally safe disposal of the battery.
• Before transportation, ensure that the robot vacuum is turned off and, if possible, keep it in its original packaging.
• If the robot vacuum will not be used for an extended period, fully charge it, power it off, and store it in a cool, dry place. Recharge the robot vacuum at least once a month to avoid battery damage.

Installation

1. Connect the charging dock to a power outlet.

2. Install the side brush on the upper left of the robot vacuum as shown. The second side brush is a spare and does not need to be installed.

3. Place the charging dock on a flat surface against a wall.

4. For first-time use, press and hold the button for 3 seconds to power on the device. When the indicator lights up, manually place the robot vacuum on the charging dock. Thereafter, simply press the button during operation to send the device to the dock for charging automatically.

Installing Accessories for the Desired Operating Mode

Dry cleaning mode:

Install the dustbin, or the dustbin with integrated water tank.

1. Open the robot vacuum cover and install the dustbin or the dustbin with water tank in the indicated direction until it is fully secured.

2. Turn on the robot vacuum. The device is ready to start cleaning.

Install the dustbin with water tank, the mop holder, and the mop pad.

1. Open the water tank lid, fill with water, and close the lid.

3. Attach the mop pad to the holder and firmly fasten the hook-and-loop strips.

4. Lock the clips and mount the mop holder horizontally on the bottom of the robot vacuum as shown.

5. Turn on the robot vacuum. It is ready to begin dry and wet cleaning.

Precautions

1. Do not place the charging dock in areas exposed to direct sunlight.

2. Ensure there is free space around the charging dock (at least 0.5 m on both sides and at least 1.5 m in front).

3. If the robot vacuum will not power on due to a low battery, place it directly on the dock to charge.

4. The robot vacuum automatically powers on while charging on the dock.

5. The robot vacuum cannot be powered off while it is on the charging dock.

6. Remove the water tank and detach the mop holder when the robot vacuum is charging or not in use.

7. To prevent the robot vacuum from becoming stuck on carpets, use a virtual wall or set restricted areas for carpeted zones.

8. To avoid excessive dirt accumulation, regularly empty the dustbin. This ensures high cleaning performance.

9. In dry cleaning mode, the robot vacuum can operate with either the standard dustbin or the dustbin with water tank.

Powering On and Off

While charging on the dock, the robot vacuum powers on automatically and cannot be turned off.

To power on manually, press and hold the button until the indicator lights up. To power off the robot vacuum when it is in sleep mode and not on the charging dock, press and hold the button.

Cleaning

Power on the robot vacuum, then press the button. Depending on the installed accessory, the device will automatically start dry or wet cleaning.

Charging

Power on the robot vacuum and press the button to send it to the dock for charging.

After cleaning is complete, the robot vacuum automatically returns to the charging dock. In this case, the indicator flashes yellow.

If the battery becomes low during cleaning, the robot vacuum will automatically return to the dock to charge. After fully charging, it will return and resume cleaning where it left off. If the robot vacuum powers off automatically due to a depleted battery, place it on the charging dock manually. Ensure that the charging terminals on the device align with the charging contacts on the dock.

Pause State

To pause an operating robot vacuum, press any button. Then press the button to resume cleaning. Press the button to end the current cleaning task and return the device to the charging dock.

Sleep Mode

The robot vacuum automatically enters sleep mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. Press any button or use the application to wake it.

• The device does not enter sleep mode while charging on the dock.
• After 12 hours in sleep mode, the robot vacuum powers off automatically.

Fault Condition

If an error occurs during operation, the indicator begins flashing red and an audible alert sounds. Solutions can be found in the “Possible issues and solutions” section. If no action is taken within 5 minutes, the robot vacuum automatically enters sleep mode.

Adding Water or Cleaning the Mop Pad During Operation

To add water or clean the mop pad during cleaning, press any button to pause the robot vacuum, then remove the water tank. After adding water or cleaning the pad, reinstall the tank and pad, then press the button for the robot vacuum to resume operation.

Cleaning Modes

Four cleaning modes are available in the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app: Silent, Standard, Moderate, and Turbo. Standard mode is set by default.

Do Not Disturb Mode

In Do Not Disturb mode, the robot vacuum disables cleaning resumption, scheduled cleaning, and voice notifications. Do Not Disturb mode is enabled by default. It can be disabled via the application.

Cleaning Resumption

The device supports cleaning resumption. If the battery becomes low during cleaning, the robot vacuum will automatically return to the dock to charge. After fully charging, it will return and continue cleaning from where it stopped.

This function does not operate if the cleaning task was ended manually while charging.

Space Zoning

You can divide the space into zones using the application and then select a specific zone for cleaning.

Spot Cleaning Mode

In the application, you can set a specific area on the room map. The robot vacuum will automatically travel to the designated location and clean an area of approximately 2 x 2 meters around itself.

Scheduled Cleaning

You can configure scheduled cleaning in the application. The robot vacuum will automatically start cleaning at the set time and return to the dock upon completion.

(!) Note: Scheduled cleaning will not be performed if Do Not Disturb mode is enabled.

Virtual Walls / Restricted Areas

Using the application, you can set virtual walls or restricted areas.

Smart Zoning

You can use the Smart Zoning function in the application. With this function, the robot vacuum automatically updates the room map after cleaning and charging are complete.

Connecting to the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home Application

The Xiaomi Mijia 3C robot vacuum works with the Mi Home / Xiaomi Home* application. Control your device and interact with other smart-home devices within this application.

Scan the QR code to download and install the application. If the application is already installed, you will be redirected to the connection setup page. Alternatively, search for “Mi Home / Xiaomi Home” in the App Store to download and install it.

Open the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home application, tap "+" in the upper right corner, and follow the instructions to add the device.

(!) * In Europe, the application is called “Xiaomi Home” (except in Russia). The application name shown on your device should be accepted by default.

(!) Note: The application version may have been updated. Follow the instructions for the current version of the application.

Resetting Wi-Fi Settings

When changing the router or Wi-Fi password, you must reconfigure the robot vacuum’s Wi-Fi connection. Power on the device, then press and hold the and buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until a voice prompt announces that the network is awaiting configuration. After resetting the Wi-Fi connection, you can reconnect the robot vacuum.

(!) Note: Only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks are supported.

Restoring Factory Settings

Press and hold the button for 5 seconds. As soon as the voice prompt for restoring factory settings sounds, press and hold the button again for 5 seconds until you hear the confirmation message for factory reset. If successful, all user data will be deleted and a message will play indicating successful restoration of factory settings.

Care and Maintenance

Dustbin

1. Open the robot vacuum cover, remove the dustbin, and open its lid as shown.

2. Empty the container. Clean it with the cleaning brush, then align the filter and reinstall it.

3. Install the dustbin with water tank back into place so that it is fully secured, and close the robot vacuum cover.

Filter

To clean the filter in the dustbin or in the dustbin with water tank, remove it as shown in the diagram.

• Rinse the filter with water. Before installing the filter back into the dustbin or the dustbin with water tank, ensure it is completely dry.
• To prevent clogging, it is recommended to clean the filter regularly using the cleaning brush.

(!) Note: It is recommended to replace the filter every 3–6 months.

Main Brush

1. Turn the robot vacuum over and press the clips to remove the brush cover.

2. Remove the brush and the brush bearing.

3. Clean the brush using the cleaning brush.

4. Reinstall the brush and its bearing, then attach and press the brush cover until it is fully secured.

(!) Note: It is recommended to replace the brush every 6–12 months to maintain optimal cleaning performance.

Side Brush

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The robot vacuum will not power on
1. Low battery level. Charge the robot vacuum and try again.
2. Ambient temperature is too low (below 0°C) or too high (above 40°C).

1. Too many obstacles around the charging dock. Place the dock in a more accessible location.

Abnormal device behavior

Unusual noises during cleaning
Foreign objects may be entangled around the main brush, side brushes, or caster wheel. Pause the vacuum and remove them.

Poor cleaning performance or residue left behind
1. The dustbin is full. Empty it.
2. The filter is clogged. Clean it.
3. A foreign object is caught in the main brush. Remove it.

Wi-Fi connection issues
1. Weak Wi-Fi signal. Move the robot vacuum to an area with a sufficiently strong Wi-Fi signal.
2. A problem occurred with the wireless connection. Reset the Wi-Fi settings and update the application to the latest version, then try connecting again.

The robot vacuum does not resume cleaning
1. Ensure that the robot vacuum is not in Do Not Disturb mode, in which it cannot resume cleaning.
2. The robot vacuum cannot continue cleaning if it was charged or moved to the dock manually.

The robot vacuum does not return to the charging dock after being moved
Moving the robot vacuum over a long distance may cause its map of the surrounding space to change. It cannot return to the dock on its own if it is too far away. In such cases, place the device on the charging dock manually.

The robot vacuum does not charge
Ensure that there is sufficient space around the charging dock and that the charging contacts are clean and free of foreign objects.

The robot vacuum does not perform scheduled cleaning
Ensure that the robot vacuum is connected to the network; otherwise, it will not synchronize with the application and will not perform scheduled cleaning.

The robot vacuum constantly disconnects from the network
Ensure that the robot vacuum is connected to the network and within Wi-Fi coverage.

The robot vacuum does not connect to “viomi-vacuum-v8_miapXXXX” in the application
Ensure that the device is not in Do Not Disturb mode. In this case, the device will continue cleaning;
If the device returns to the dock on its own, the vacuum will not continue cleaning.

Troubleshooting

Error 1.
Ensure that the laser distance sensor is not blocked.

Remove any foreign objects that may block or interfere with the laser distance sensor, or move the robot vacuum to another location and restart it.

Error 2.
Wipe the cliff sensor, move the robot vacuum to another location, then restart.

Part of the robot vacuum does not touch the floor. Move it and restart. The cliff sensor is dirty; clean it.

Error 3.
Strong magnetic field detected. Restart the robot vacuum away from virtual walls.

The robot vacuum may be too close to a virtual wall. Move it to another location and restart.

Error 4.
Clean the collision sensor from foreign objects.

The collision sensor may be jammed. Gently tap it several times to remove any foreign objects. If nothing falls out, move the robot vacuum to another location and restart it.

Error 5.
The robot vacuum is operating at an abnormal temperature

The robot vacuum is operating at too high or too low a temperature. Wait until the temperature normalizes and try again.

Error 6.
Charging error. Try cleaning the charging contacts.

Wipe the charging contacts on the dock and on the robot vacuum with a dry cloth.

Error 7.
Place the robot vacuum on a flat surface and restart.

Move the robot vacuum to a flat surface and restart. You can also change settings in the application and then restart the device.

Error 8.
Install the dustbin and filter correctly.

Ensure that the dustbin and filter are installed correctly. If the error persists, try replacing the filter.

Error 9.
Move the robot vacuum to another location and restart.

A wheel may not be touching the floor. Move the robot vacuum and restart.

Error 10.
Remove obstacles around the robot vacuum.

The robot vacuum may be caught or stuck. Remove all obstacles around it.

Error 11.
Ensure that the water tank is installed correctly.

Ensure that the water tank or the dustbin with water tank is securely installed.

Error 12.
Ensure that the mopping attachment is installed correctly.

Ensure that the mopping attachment and its holder are securely installed.

Error 13.
Unable to return to the charging dock.

Place the robot vacuum on the charging dock.

Error 14.
Low battery level. Charge it.

Error 15.
Remove the mopping attachment.
