FAQ for Operating the SUITU ST-9624C Car Compressor
What power supply and charging methods does the compressor support?
The device can be charged via USB Type-C from a 220 V wall adapter, a power bank, or any 5 V source; it also operates directly from a 12 V cigarette lighter socket using the supplied cable. When powered from the cigarette lighter socket, the compressor can inflate without precharging the battery.
Can the compressor be used as a power bank?
Yes, it supports charging external devices via USB. The actual number of full smartphone charges depends on the smartphone battery and the compressor battery condition; on average, 1–2 charges.
What power adapter is needed for charging from 220 V?
A standard wall adapter with a power rating of 10 W or higher is suitable. The compressor’s charging controller limits the current and prevents overcharging.
The compressor does not turn on or show charge when connected. What should be checked?
Verify the serviceability of the USB Type-C cable and adapter, as well as the fuse in the plug of the cigarette lighter cable. When charging from 12 V, the indicator may not blink, but charging is in progress.
How do I switch pressure units (psi/bar/kPa/kg/cm²)?
Press and hold for 2–3 seconds the lower right button with the round icon until the unit on the display changes. Use the “+” and “?” keys to adjust the value.
.Does the device show the current pressure before inflation?
Yes. The display first shows the actual tire pressure, then you set the target value, after which the compressor will automatically stop when the target is reached.
Are there modes and memory presets?
There are preset modes (car, motorcycle, bicycle, ball) and a user profile. The value set in the current session is retained until power-off; after a new power-on, parameters must be set again.
What pressure range can be set?
In user mode, the lower threshold is about 0.20 bar, and the upper limit is up to 10.3 bar (~10.2 atm). This covers the requirements of car, motorcycle, and bicycle tires, as well as inflatable products.
How does auto shut-off work?
You must set a target pressure; upon reaching it, the BelAK-160 automatically stops inflation.
How is the battery charge displayed during charging?
The battery indicator on the screen has three segments. When charging via USB, the segments blink; when powered from the cigarette lighter socket, a full level may be displayed due to direct 12 V supply, while the battery is also being charged.
How long can the compressor operate continuously?
Built-in overheating protection turns off the drive after approximately 13–15 minutes of continuous operation (depending on ambient temperature). After cooling down, operation can be resumed.
Can the compressor handle passenger car wheels?
Yes, the device is designed for inflating most passenger car tires. The time depends on wheel size and current pressure; for fully deflated wheels, it is preferable to power the compressor from the 12 V cigarette lighter socket.
Is it possible to inflate large volumes (air mattress, boat, SUP board)?
Yes, but it takes noticeable time; adapters for the valves are required. There is no special “inflator/vacuum” mode; if backpressure is insufficient, protection may periodically stop inflation—restart as needed. For SUP boards, powering from 12 V is recommended.
What is the maximum pressure the device can deliver?
Maximum up to 10.3 bar (about 10.2 atm). The minimum settable value is around 0.20 bar.
What is the length of the air hose and how is it connected?
The hose length in different batches is approximately 15–20 cm. The end of the hose is equipped with a clamp-type chuck; nozzles are changed without a threaded connection and are securely fixed.
Can I inflate bicycle tires with a Presta/Dunlop valve?
Yes, use the adapter nozzle for bicycle valves (usually included). Set the desired unit of measurement and the pressure setpoint.
Is it suitable for low pressure on an ATV (0.3–0.4 bar)?
Yes, a low-pressure setpoint can be specified in user mode; however, the inflation time depends on tire volume.
What materials are used in the main components?
The piston and cylinder are metal; the connecting rod is made of a metal alloy.
.How many pistons does the compressor have?
A twin-piston design is used, which increases performance while maintaining compact dimensions.
What is the battery capacity and how many cells are inside?
Batches are encountered with a total declared capacity of 4000–6000 mAh. According to seller responses, Li-ion 18650 cells are used; versions with two 2000 mAh cells connected in series have been observed. Actual capacity and runtime depend on the batch and operating conditions.
Can the batteries be replaced by the user?
The housing is assembled with screws; technically, cell replacement is possible, but it is not regulated by the manufacturer and is performed at your own risk.
Can the compressor be stored in a car during winter?
Continuous storage at sub-zero temperatures is not recommended due to Li-ion characteristics. If the battery is discharged in the cold, you can connect the compressor to the 12 V cigarette lighter socket and use it immediately. Cable length is about 3 m.
What are the cooling recommendations for extended operation?
Do not block ventilation openings. When inflating large volumes, take breaks to allow cooling—this will reduce thermal protection trips and extend the service life of the BelAK-160 fan heater.
