Electric Toothbrush Braun Oral-B Vitality D100.413.1 3D White. Instruction Manual in English
Oral-B welcomes you!
Please read the instructions carefully before using the toothbrush and keep them for future reference.
Safety Instructions
IMPORTANT
• Periodically check the integrity of the device and power cord. Do not use a damaged or malfunctioning device. If the device or cord is damaged, contact an Oral-B service center. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself or modify it. This may lead to fire, electric shock, or injury.
• Not recommended for use by children under 3 years of age. Toothbrushes may be used by children and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, as well as persons lacking sufficient experience and knowledge, under supervision or after instruction on safe use of the device, provided they understand the associated hazards.
• Children must not clean or disassemble the toothbrush.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Use this device exclusively as intended and in accordance with this operating manual. Do not use brush heads not recommended by the manufacturer. Use only the charger included in the package.
.WARNING
• Do not allow the charger to come into contact with water or any liquid and do not store it where it may fall into a bathtub or sink. If the charger falls into water, do not attempt to retrieve it. Disconnect it immediately.
• The device’s battery is non-replaceable. Do not disassemble the device except for battery removal during disposal. When removing the battery for disposal, exercise caution to avoid short-circuiting the positive (+) and negative (–) terminals.
• When unplugging from the mains, always pull by the plug, not the cord. Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands. This may cause electric shock.
• If you are undergoing treatment for any oral condition, consult your dentist before using the device.
• This toothbrush is intended for personal use and is not designed for use by more than one patient in a dental practice or clinic.
• For toothbrushing only. Do not chew or bite the brush. Do not use as a toy or without adult supervision. A broken brush head may pose a choking hazard due to small parts or damage teeth. To avoid this:
• Before each use, ensure that the brush head fits securely on the handle. Discontinue use if the brush head does not fit the handle properly. Never use the device without a brush head.
• If the toothbrush has been dropped, replace the brush head before the next use, even if no visible damage is present.
• Replace the brush head every 3 months or sooner if wear is evident.
• Thoroughly clean the brush head after each use (see the “Cleaning Recommendations” section). Proper cleaning helps ensure safety and extend the service life of the toothbrush.

Charging and Use
This toothbrush is safe and suitable for use in the bathroom.
• Insert the charging unit (D) into an electrical outlet and place the toothbrush handle (C) on the charging unit. A full charge takes about 16 hours and provides up to eight days of use with regular brushing (2 minutes twice daily) (Figure 1).
• For daily use, the toothbrush handle may be stored on the charger connected to the mains. Overcharging the battery is not possible.
• To maintain optimal battery performance, disconnect the charger from the power supply and allow the handle to fully discharge before recharging. Perform this procedure at least once every 6 months.
Using the Electric Toothbrush
Brushing Technique
• Moisten the brush head and apply toothpaste. Place the toothbrush on your teeth, then switch it on by pressing the On/Off button (B) (Figure 2).
• When using Oral-B oscillating-rotating brush heads, slowly move the head from tooth to tooth, pausing for a few seconds on each surface.
• With any brush head, begin by cleaning the outer surfaces, then the inner surfaces. Finish by brushing the chewing surfaces. Brushing each of the 4 quadrants of the mouth should take an equal amount of time. Do not apply excessive pressure — the toothbrush cleans automatically (Figure 4). You may also consult your dentist or dental hygienist to determine the brushing technique most suitable for you.
During the first days of use, slight gum bleeding may occur. This usually disappears after a few days. If bleeding persists after 2 weeks, consult your dentist or oral hygiene specialist.
Timer (depending on model)
The built-in timer records brushing time (depending on the model) (Figure 3).
“Two-Minute” Timer: A short intermittent sound signal indicates the end of the recommended two-minute brushing period according to dentists.
“Professional” Timer: A short intermittent sound signal every 30 seconds reminds you to move to the next quadrant of the mouth. A long intermittent signal indicates the end of the recommended two-minute brushing period according to specialists.
Replacement Brush Heads
Oral-B CrossAction Brush Head
Our most advanced brush head.
Angled bristles for precise cleaning.
Removes and eliminates dental plaque.
Oral-B Sensi Ultrathin Brush Head
A combination of regular bristles for surface cleaning and ultra-thin bristles for cleaning along the gum line.
Most Oral-B brush heads are equipped with light blue INDICATOR® bristles, allowing you to track when replacement is needed.
When brushing thoroughly twice a day for two minutes, bristles fade halfway in about three months, indicating the need for replacement. If bristles fray before fading, you may be applying too much pressure while brushing (Figure 4).
We do not recommend using Oral-B FlossAction and Oral-B 3D White brush heads if you wear braces. For cleaning teeth around brackets, the specially designed Oral-B Ortho brush head should be used.
Cleaning Recommendations
After brushing, rinse the brush head under running water for a few seconds while leaving the brush switched on. Switch off the toothbrush and remove the brush head. Rinse the brush head and handle separately under running water, then dry them and reattach the brush head to the handle. Occasionally wipe the charger with a damp cloth. Never immerse the charger in water. The brush head holder (E) is dishwasher safe (Figure 5).
