WARNING — Epilepsy
Some individuals (about 1 in 4000) are susceptible to epileptic seizures or momentary loss of consciousness triggered by flashing lights or frequent changes in contrasting colors. Watching TV or playing video games may provoke such seizures, even if no previous symptoms have been observed. If you have a history of epilepsy, fainting, or symptoms similar to epilepsy, consult your doctor before playing video games.
Stop playing and consult a doctor if you or your child experience the following symptoms: convulsions, eye or muscle twitching, loss of consciousness, vision disturbances, involuntary movements, or disorientation.

• Do not play if you feel tired or drowsy
• Play in a well-lit room
• Take a 10–15 minute break every hour.
WARNING — Eye Strain, Motion Sickness, and Repetitive Motion Injuries
Avoid excessively long gaming sessions.
Take a 10–15 minute break every hour, even if you think you do not need one.

• Eye fatigue or pain, dizziness, nausea, or general fatigue.
• Fatigue or pain in hands, wrists, or forearms, or symptoms such as tingling, numbness, burning, or stiffness. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.

If battery fluid comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and consult a doctor. If the fluid contacts the skin, wash thoroughly with water. Wipe the fluid from the device’s outer surface with a cloth.
The console and Joy-Con controllers contain rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Do not attempt to replace the batteries yourself. Battery removal and replacement must be carried out by qualified professionals. Contact a Nintendo service center for details.

If the devices are damaged, stop using them and contact a Nintendo service center. Do not touch damaged areas. Avoid contact with any leaking fluids.

Stop playing if the console or controllers become excessively hot during charging, as this may cause skin burns.
People with injuries or conditions affecting fingers, hands, or forearms are not recommended to use the vibration function of any accessories.

.IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
Parental Controls
The Nintendo Switch console offers a wide range of features. However, as a parent, you may want to restrict some of them that you consider inappropriate for children. We have prepared specific steps to help make Nintendo Switch use safe for your family.
Nintendo Switch parental controls are available on the console itself, and you can also manage them using an app on your smart device. During the initial setup of the console, you can choose the method of setting up parental controls. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the parental control setup.
On the console, you can use a PIN code to set or change your desired parental control settings. You can also use this PIN code to temporarily disable parental controls when desired. You can also change your settings at any time — even when you are away from home — using the dedicated app.
Restricting Purchases in Nintendo eShop
To restrict purchases in Nintendo eShop, you must link your child’s Nintendo Account with your own. Sign in to your Nintendo Account from a smart device or computer to create a new account for your child or link an existing account with yours, and then set the restrictions you deem necessary in the Nintendo Account settings.
Using Joy-Con Controllers (not applicable to Nintendo Switch Lite)
Before using the controllers for the first time, charge and sync them with the console. You can charge and sync the controllers by attaching them directly to the console or by using the Joy-Con charging grip (HAC-012) (sold separately). To fully charge the controllers while attached to the console, make sure to charge the console at the same time.
If you are using a Joy-Con controller detached from the console, always use the Joy-Con strap accessory. To attach the Joy-Con strap, align the + or - button on the controller with the same symbol on the Joy-Con strap accessory.
Insert the Joy-Con strap accessory into the controller with a sliding motion and secure it using the lock. Then wear and tighten the strap. Hold the controller firmly and do not release it. During gameplay, leave enough free space around you. After playing, unlock the latch before detaching the Joy-Con strap accessory.
When attaching the Joy-Con controllers to the console or attaching the Joy-Con strap accessory to the controllers, ensure you are holding the Joy-Con properly and attach it with a sliding motion until it clicks into place.
Enabling and Disabling Wireless Internet Connection
To enable wireless Internet connection, select HOME Menu (System Settings), then INTERNET, and complete the connection setup.
To disable wireless Internet connection in handheld mode, press and hold the HOME button to open the Quick Settings menu, then enable Airplane Mode. You can also select (System Settings) in the HOME Menu while in handheld mode and then enable Airplane Mode.
