Electronic Scales 0.01–40(50) kg. Portable Electronic Scale User Manual

Before using the handheld scales, please read the operating instructions. With proper care and correct use, the device will operate reliably and for a long time.

Specifications

• Material: plastic, metal;
• Backlight color: blue (turns off after five seconds of device inactivity);
• Size: 9 cm * 2.5 cm * 17.5 cm;
• Power supply: 2 AAA batteries (not included);
• Weighing range: from 10 g to 40(50) kg;
• Weighing accuracy: 5 g;
• Device functions: unit selection, weight hold;
• Units of measurement: kg, jin (half a kilogram), lb (pound), oz (ounce);
• Conversion ratios: 1 kg = 2.2 lb = 2 jin = 35 oz;
• Weight hold operates for items weighing at least 100 g;

Battery installation

Remove the cover of the battery compartment on the back of the handheld scales and insert two AAA batteries according to the polarity markings.

Powering on

• Hold the scales vertically with no load on the hook.
• Press the ON/OFF button; the screen will display (8888) and a beep will sound.
• Wait about 2 seconds until the screen shows (0.00 or 0.000).
• The scales are ready for weighing.

Taring / zero setting

• When weighing bulk goods, hang the container on the hook.
• Press TARE, and the screen will display 0.00 or 0.000. The tare compensation function is now active.
• Place the goods in the container, and the screen will display the net weight of the goods without the container.

Lock function selection

• Press TARE for 2 seconds. L_ON or L_OF will appear on the screen.
• Press POWER to weigh new goods.
• L_ON activates the lock function, i.e., the weight of the item will be fixed on the screen.
• L_OF deactivates the lock function, i.e., the weight will NOT be fixed on the screen.

Weighing

• When the screen displays (0.00 or 0.000), hang the item on the hook; the screen will show the weight.
• The permissible maximum weight must not exceed the full load + 9d (5 kg: D = 5 g, 10 kg: D = 10 g, 20 kg: D = 10 g, 40 kg: D = 20 g).
• In case of overload, the screen will show O-Ld and a warning signal will sound.
• The scales calculate the weight automatically. When the weight stabilizes, a beep will sound.
• The sound and the display of HOLD or a lock symbol in L_on mode indicate that weighing is complete.

For maximum weighing accuracy, hold the Portable Electronic Scale by the ring with your hand or the bracket.

Unit selection

Press UNIT to select a measurement unit among kg, lb, jin, oz (1 kg = 2.2 lb = 2 jin = 35 oz).

- Avoid shaking, impacts, and dropping the scales. This is a precision instrument and must be handled carefully.
- Operate the scales only on a flat, stable surface.

Temperature test

Press UNIT for 2 seconds. The temperature will appear on the screen. Measurement error ±2°C.

Powering off

• Press ON/OFF to switch off (when not in HOLD mode).
• Press ON/OFF to clear the HOLD icon, and press ON/OFF again to switch off in HOLD mode.
• Press ON/OFF to exit the temperature mode; press ON/OFF again to power off while in temperature mode.
• The scales will switch off automatically if no operation is performed within 120 seconds.

Warnings

1. A vertical position is required for power-on or self-diagnosis.
2. To maintain weighing accuracy and protect the scales, hold the stationary rings directly or use additional devices for weighing. Do not hold the plastic case during weighing.
3. Avoid abrupt movements and vibrations during weighing.
4. Use clean water and detergent for cleaning. Do not use aggressive liquids (gasoline, solvents, caustic soap, etc.) to clean the ABS plastic housing.
5. When the battery symbol appears on the screen, this means the batteries are depleted and must be replaced. If the scales are not used for a long time, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and circuit damage.
6. Do not disassemble the scales if they require repair. Contact the seller.
