Preparation and Connecting the Console
Connecting to a TV
There are two ways to connect the console to a TV (only one is required).
1. Through the antenna adapter.
Attach the antenna adapter to the console’s video/audio output. Use the included antenna cable to connect the adapter’s output to the TV’s antenna input. Tune the TV.
2. Through video/audio.
Use the included video/audio cable to connect the console’s video/audio output to the TV’s inputs (yellow plug – video, white – audio). Switch the TV to video mode.
(!) This method applies only to TVs with video input. For stereo sound, use a stereo video/audio cable (purchased separately).
Connecting Joysticks
Connect the main joystick to the left port on the front panel.
An additional joystick (sold separately) can be used for two-player games and competitions. It connects to the right port on the front panel.
Power Supply
Connect the AC adapter to the power input at the back of the console (AC) and to a 220V power outlet. Use the POWER button to turn the console on.
(!) ALWAYS TURN OFF THE CONSOLE WHEN CHANGING CARTRIDGES OR SWITCHING CABLES.
How to Start a Game
Insert a game cartridge into the slot and press the POWER button on the console.
Press the START button on the joystick. The game will begin.
To restart the game or switch to another one, press the RESET button.
If the cartridge contains multiple games, choose one of them:
- if a list of games appears on the screen, use the joystick arrows and then press START;
- if no list is shown, switch games by pressing the RESET button on the console.
Using the Joystick
The START button begins the game and usually also pauses/resumes during gameplay.
The circular directional pad on the left controls movement in the game, while buttons A, B, C control basic actions such as shooting or jumping. Buttons X, Y, Z are generally used for additional actions in more complex games.
The specific function of buttons A, B, C, X, Y, Z depends on the game.
Connecting a CD Player
On the bottom of the console’s main unit, there is a connector for attaching a CD player. Such a player is sold separately; only special “Mega-CD” players are compatible.
