1. General Information

1.1 Device Information

A trail camera is a device used for observing wild animals or people for security purposes or territory monitoring. It may be useful for hunters, foresters, and zoologists. It can also be integrated into a security system for visual perimeter control.

The unit is equipped with a highly sensitive pyroelectric infrared PIR sensor. When a person (or animal) moves, the surrounding temperature changes, which triggers the trail camera, and it automatically begins to take photographs or record high-definition video.

This camera features a wide range of applications and multiple functions, including interval settings, password protection, and more.

Main features:

• Camera lens with a 90-degree viewing angle;
• High resolution: photo options 0.3 MP, 1.3 MP, 3 MP, 5 MP, 8 MP, or 12 MP;
• Shutter response time to image capture can be as fast as 0.8 seconds;
• Built-in 2.0-inch color TFT display for viewing images and video;
• Supports TF cards with a capacity of up to 32 GB;
• Waterproof rating: IP66;
• Operating temperature range: -20°C to 70°C;

• Through interval settings, the camera can automatically take photos and videos at a set time interval. Useful for monitoring plant blooming, bird nesting, unattended sites, or yards. This function works with the timer;
• Long battery life (in standby mode with 8 AA batteries, it can operate up to 6 months);
• Serial number setting function allows adding a code to photos to identify which camera captured the image;

2. Quick Start

2.1 Battery

AA batteries are recommended as the power source. You must ensure that the positive and negative terminals of the batteries match the symbols on the housing, i.e., polarity is observed.

Before storing the trail camera, remove the batteries to avoid possible damage caused by battery electrolyte leakage.

Additionally, the camera can also operate with an external DC power source (5 V / 2 A), solar panels, etc. In “TEST” mode, when the battery is low, the display shows the message “Low Battery.”

2.2 Installing a Memory Card

This camera has no built-in memory, so it cannot operate without a TF card. Cards with a capacity of up to 32 GB, class 10, are supported.

Before inserting the memory card into the corresponding slot, make sure the card capacity does not exceed 32 GB and that it has been tested and formatted.

2.3 Test Mode Settings

Switch the toggle to the Test position to enter setup mode.

In this mode, just like a standard digital camera, you can take photos or record videos, or enter the menu to configure camera parameters. The keypad has six function keys.

Off / Test / On

Select Off to power down the trail camera;

Select Test and the unit will enter test mode for checking various functions;

Select On to turn on the device. It will automatically enter standby mode after 5 seconds and will start operating when the PIR sensor detects human or object movement in front of it.

2.4 Switching to Live Mode

If the switch is set to On, the trail camera will enter real-time operation mode and begin working without additional intervention. When an animal or other objects enter the PIR detection zone, the device immediately starts taking photos or recording video (depending on settings).

If the animal or person leaves the PIR detection zone, the camera will turn off and switch to standby mode.

As a rule, it is recommended to install the camera at a height of 1–2 meters above ground level.

(!) Note: To avoid false triggers due to temperature and interference, do not point the camera at a heat source (such as the sun, metal) or near tree branches. Ideally, aim the trail camera north or south. Do not hang it under branches.
