- No. 4 – myriameter waves and Very Low Frequencies (VLF) – from 3 to 30 kHz,
- No. 5 – kilometer waves and Low Frequencies (LF) – from 30 to 300 kHz,
- No. 6 – hectometer waves and Medium Frequencies (MF) – from 300 to 3000 kHz,
- No. 7 – decameter waves and High Frequencies (HF) – from 3 to 30 MHz,
- No. 8 – meter waves and Very High Frequencies (VHF) – from 30 to 300 MHz,
- No. 9 – decimeter waves and Ultra High Frequencies (UHF) – from 300 to 3000 MHz,
- No. 10 – centimeter waves and Super High Frequencies (SHF) – from 3 to 30 GHz,
- No. 11 – millimeter waves and Extremely High Frequencies (EHF) – from 30 to 300 GHz,
- No. 12 – decimillimeter waves and Tremendously High Frequencies (THF) – from 300 to 3000 GHz
Satellite communication bands:
- L-band – frequency range from 0.5 to 2 GHz, mainly used for voice communication,
- Ku-band – frequency range from 10.9 to 17 GHz, used for fixed satellite services,
- Ka-band – frequency range from 18 to 31 GHz, used for satellites worldwide.
