Universal Air Conditioner Remote Control Huayu K-1038E + L – Operating Instructions

Description

The K-1038E + L is a universal air conditioner remote control that allows remote operation of most types and models. User convenience is ensured by the automatic digital code search function, low power consumption, full control capability at a long distance, simple configuration, intuitive interface, original design, and ergonomic form. The remote is equipped with a large LCD screen with clear indicators, while the built-in clock and TIMER function make it even easier to use.

(!) Notes: Quick heating and cooling buttons:
- The "Fast Cool” button switches the air conditioner to cooling mode, sets the temperature to 21°C, medium fan speed, and automatic airflow direction;
- The "Fast Heat” button switches the air conditioner to heating mode, sets the temperature to 27°C, medium fan speed, and automatic airflow direction.

Installing Batteries

1. Remove the battery cover and insert 2 AAA batteries.

2. Replace the battery cover. The clock will appear in the upper-left corner of the LCD display.

Remote Control Configuration

There are three configuration methods: labeled A / B / C.

To operate the air conditioner, please select the most appropriate configuration method.

A. Direct Search by Air Conditioner Brand

1. Manually switch on the air conditioner and point the remote control at the air conditioner’s signal receiver.

2. Press and hold the code button corresponding to your air conditioner brand until the unit turns on (an audible signal will be emitted). Release the button. Configuration is complete.

Check the functionality of the remote control buttons. If they operate correctly, configuration is complete. Otherwise, repeat steps 1–2.

B. Manual Code Entry from the Manufacturer Table

1. Manually turn on the air conditioner. In the manufacturer table, find the codes corresponding to the air conditioner brand.

For example, “Haier”:

2. Press and hold the SET button (for approximately 3 seconds) until the model code indicator on the display begins flashing. Use the ▲ or ▼ buttons to set one of the codes from the table (starting with the first). If the correct code is selected, the air conditioner will turn on.

3. Press the "OK" button to confirm the selected code. The code indicator on the display will stop flashing.

4. Test all functions of the air conditioner. If some functions do not operate, repeat steps 2–3.

C. Automatic Digital Search

1. Manually switch on the air conditioner. Point the remote control at the air conditioner’s IR receiver window.

2. Press and hold the SET button (for approximately 6 seconds) until the model code indicator on the display begins to change. When the air conditioner turns on, press the "OK" button to stop the search.

3. Test all functions of the air conditioner. If some functions do not operate, repeat step 2.

Setting the Time

Press and hold the clock button ("CLOCK") for 3 seconds. The remote will enter time-setting mode, and the digits on the display will start flashing. Use the temperature adjustment buttons (▲ and ▼) to set the time. To finish, press the "CLOCK" button again.

Timer Control

Use the "TIME ON" and "TIME OFF" buttons to activate or deactivate the timer. The corresponding air conditioner indicators should light up, indicating that the timer function is active. In some air conditioner models, the timer ON function may only be set when the air conditioner is off.

(!) - The remote control will function properly only if the air conditioner’s IR receiver is working.
- If you do not intend to use the remote control for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the batteries.
- If the remote malfunctions, reset it by removing the batteries for at least 35 minutes. After this, the remote will return to factory settings.
