Air Conditioner Timer Function: Purpose, Setup, and Operating Features
Purpose of the Timer Function
The “TIMER” button on the remote control allows you to set the air conditioner to turn on or off automatically after a specified time. This function enables you to predefine the time parameters for the unit’s activation or deactivation, providing automatic climate control in the room.
Setting the On Timer (TIMER ON)
To set the automatic switch-on time for the air conditioner:
• With the unit off, press the “TIMER” button. The display will show “TIMER ON” and the current on-time setting.
• The time range is from 0.5 to 24 hours. Use the ^ and ˇ buttons to set the desired time, in 0.5-hour increments up to 10 hours, then in 1-hour increments thereafter.
• Press the “TIMER” button again to activate the set time. The unit will turn on after the specified delay, using the saved operating parameters. Settings can be adjusted before the unit starts.
Setting the Off Timer (TIMER OFF)
To set the automatic switch-off time:
• With the unit on, press the “TIMER” button. The display will show “TIMER OFF” and the current off-time setting.
• The time range is also from 0.5 to 24 hours. Adjust the value using the ^ and ˇ buttons, as with the on timer.
• Press the “TIMER” button again to activate the function. The unit will turn off after the set time has elapsed.
Additional Operating Instructions
• To cancel the timer function after setting, press the “TIMER” button again.
• When the timer is active, the remote control must remain in line-of-sight with the unit, as signal transmission is via infrared.
• In timer mode, the remote periodically sends a signal to the unit for synchronization. Any obstacles between the remote and the indoor unit may disrupt this and cause the function to fail.
• The maximum timer range is 24 hours. Once the set time elapses, the unit will perform the programmed action (on or off).
