Attention!

• When using the wireless remote control, the distance to the air conditioner must not exceed 7 meters.

• If fluorescent lamps or a cordless phone are installed in the room, the remote control may not function properly. In this case, reduce the distance between the remote control and the air conditioner by bringing it closer to the receiver window.

• Replace the batteries in the remote control if the symbols on the display appear either too bright or too dim.

• If changes in settings are not displayed on the remote control screen, remove the batteries from the compartment and reinstall them after 2 seconds.

• If, after installing the batteries, no information is displayed, press the RESET button.

• Remove the batteries from the remote control if it will not be used for an extended period of time.

The remote control transmits signals to the split system.

9. QUIET mode in air conditioners button. Used to activate silent operation.
10. HEAT button. Used to activate heating mode.
11. COOL function in air conditioners button. Used to activate cooling mode.
12. AUTO button. In automatic mode, switching between cooling and heating occurs automatically according to the room temperature.
13. FAN button. Used to select one of three fan speeds: low (LOW), medium (MED), high (HI), or automatic (AUTO).
14. TIMER function in air conditioners button. Used to set on/off timer functions.
15. HEALTH function in air conditioners. (not used in this model)
16. LOCK function in air conditioners button. Used for locking.
17. LIGHT button. Used to turn the display panel backlight of the indoor unit on/off.

(!) • The design of the buttons on your device may differ slightly from those shown here.
• If your air conditioner model does not support a function, pressing the corresponding button will have no effect.
• In the event of significant differences between the remote control manual and the air conditioner manual, the latter takes priority.

Battery Installation and Replacement

1. The remote control may be supplied with two batteries included (for some units). Insert them before using the remote control.

2. To open the battery compartment, slide down the rear cover of the remote control while gently pressing it with your thumb.

3. Insert AAA 1.5 V batteries according to the indicated polarity (+/-). Pay attention to the (+) and (-) symbols inside the compartment for correct orientation.

4. Close the battery compartment cover.

(!) NOTES REGARDING BATTERIES

For proper operation, follow these guidelines:

Do not install old and new batteries together, nor batteries of different types.

Do not leave the batteries in the remote control if the device will not be used for more than 2 months.

Battery Disposal

Do not dispose of batteries with unsorted household waste. Follow local regulations for proper battery disposal.

Recommendations for Using the Haier YR-HD01 Remote Control

• The operating range of the remote control is 8 meters.
• When the air conditioner receives a command from the remote control, an audible signal will be emitted.
• Curtains, other obstacles, and direct sunlight may interfere with the reception of the infrared signal.
• Do not leave the batteries inside the remote control if it will not be used for more than 2 months.

Operating Modes

1. To turn on the air conditioner, press the ON/OFF button. The unit will start operating in the last selected mode.

AUTO – In this mode, the air conditioner automatically selects the operating mode depending on the room temperature. When the fan mode is set to AUTO, the fan speed will also be selected automatically.

COOL – If the air conditioner is “cool only,” there will be no heating mode symbols displayed on its panel.

DRY function in air conditioners – In DRY mode, when the room is already cold, the temperature is raised by +2 °C, and the unit operates by adjusting the fan speed between LOW and the user-set speed.

HEAT function in air conditioners – In heating mode, warm air will begin to be delivered with a time delay to prevent cold air from entering the room.

FAN – In ventilation mode, the unit cannot operate in COOL or HEAT modes, and AUTO mode as well as temperature settings are unavailable. If the FAN is set to AUTO mode, the speed is determined by the room temperature. The SLEEP mode will also be disabled.

2. To select the desired operating mode, press the corresponding button:

HEAT button – Used to activate heating mode.
COOL function in air conditioners button – Used to activate cooling mode.
DRY button – Used to activate dehumidification mode.

3. To set the desired temperature, use the TEMP+ / TEMP- buttons.

Each press of the TEMP+ button increases the temperature by 1 °C.
Each press of the TEMP- button decreases the temperature by 1 °C.

The air conditioner maintains the set temperature automatically.

4. To select fan speed, press the FAN button.

During operation, the user may select the fan speed manually.

When the FAN is set to AUTO mode, the air conditioner automatically adjusts fan speed according to the set temperature.

Changing Airflow Direction

Using the SWING button, you can adjust the louver direction. Each press of the button sets the horizontal louver to one of the following positions:

Cooling/Dehumidification

When the air conditioner is turned on, the louver automatically takes a fixed position depending on the selected mode (cooling or heating).

Turning Off the Air Conditioner

To turn off the air conditioner, press the ON/OFF button. All indicators on the indoor unit panel will turn off, and the remote control will display only the current time.

Setting the On/Off Timer

By using the On/Off timer, you can automatically turn on the air conditioner in the morning when you wake up or in the evening when you come home from work, and automatically turn it off at a set time.

On/Off Timer (ON/OFF)

After switching on the air conditioner with the remote control, select the required operating mode. The current operating mode will be displayed on the remote control screen.

Selecting the Timer Mode

Press the TIMER button to select the required timer mode. Each press of the TIMER button will change the timer settings in the following sequence:

Select the desired timer mode. The ON or OFF indicator on the remote control will blink accordingly.

Setting the On or Off Time

Adjusting the Timer Time

To set the On or Off time, use the ▲ / ▼ buttons.

Each press of the ▲ button increases the time by 0.5 hours if the set time does not exceed 12 hours, or by 1 hour if it exceeds 12 hours. Holding the button will accelerate the adjustment until released.

Each press of the ▼ button decreases the time by 0.5 hours if the set time does not exceed 12 hours, or by 1 hour if it exceeds 12 hours. Holding the button will accelerate the adjustment until released.

All changes will be displayed on the remote control. You can set any On/Off timer value within 24 hours.

Confirming Timer Settings

To confirm the On/Off timer settings, use the CANCEL/CONFIRM button. The ON or OFF indicator will stop blinking, and the On/Off time will be displayed. The TIMER indicator will light up on the indoor unit display panel.

Cancelling Timer Settings

To cancel the timer settings, press the TIMER button several times until the ON and OFF indicators disappear from the remote control display.

(!) Warning! After replacing the batteries or a power failure, you must reset the timer settings. To switch the air conditioner on at a set time and then off after the set period, or vice versa, use the TIMER ON-OFF function.

Horizontal Airflow Distribution Modes

To set the desired airflow distribution mode, use button [23] EXTRA FUNCTION. When the “louver” icon starts blinking, press button [21] SWING. Each press of the SWING button will change the display indication on the remote control as follows:

Cooling/Dehumidification (COOL/DRY):

Confirm the louver position by pressing button [24] CANCEL/CONFIRM.

(!) Warning!
• Do not move the louvers manually. Otherwise, they may malfunction. If the louvers do not operate properly, turn off the function, wait a few minutes, and adjust them again using the remote control as described above.
• If room humidity is high, condensation may form on louvers set at an angle and may be blown out with the airflow. In this case, it is recommended to set the louvers to a position that minimizes airflow resistance.

Comfort Airflow Distribution

1. Press button [18] POWER ON/OFF to turn on the unit.

2. Set a comfortable temperature.

3. Press button [23] EXTRA FUNCTION until the desired louver position appears on the remote control display.

Confirm the selected louver position by pressing button [24] CANCEL/CONFIRM.

To fix the louvers in an intermediate position, wait until they start moving continuously and press button [24] CANCEL/CONFIRM when they reach the desired position.

1. After returning to standard settings, the louver position will no longer be fixed.
2. In heating mode, it is better to set the louvers to the lower position.
3. In cooling or dehumidification modes, it is preferable to set the louvers to the upper position.
4. During long use in cooling or dehumidification modes with high humidity, droplets of condensation may appear on the louvers. This is normal and not a defect.

High-Performance Mode

Use this function for rapid room heating.

Press the [23] EXTRA FUNCTION button several times until the TURBO symbol begins to flash on the remote control display. To confirm selection of this mode, press the [24] CANCEL/CONFIRM button.

Quiet Mode

Use this mode during rest or reading.

Press the [9] QUIET button. The QUIET symbol will appear on the remote control display, and the air conditioner will start operating in silent mode. To disable this mode, press the QUIET button again.

(!) Warning! With prolonged use of Quiet mode, the actual room temperature may differ from the set temperature value.

Comfort Sleep Mode (SLEEP)

Press the [23] EXTRA FUNCTION button several times until the SLEEP symbol begins flashing.

To confirm activation, press the [24] CANCEL/CONFIRM button.

In this mode, the system automatically regulates the temperature of the supplied air and the fan speed of the indoor unit according to a special algorithm designed to promote deeper and healthier sleep.

Cooling Mode

Each hour after activation of Comfort Sleep mode, the set temperature increases by 1 °C. After a total increase of 2 °C, the temperature is maintained constant. After 6 hours of operation, the Comfort Sleep mode will be disabled.

Heating Mode

Each hour after activation of Comfort Sleep mode, the set temperature decreases by 2 °C. After a total decrease of 4 °C, the temperature remains constant for 3 hours. After 3 hours of operation, the temperature increases by 1 °C. After another 3 hours, the Comfort Sleep mode will be disabled.

(!) Warning! Comfort Sleep mode is available in the automatic temperature maintenance mode “AUTO,” in cooling mode “COOL,” in dehumidification mode “DRY,” and in heating mode “HEAT.” In FAN mode, the Comfort Sleep mode is not available.
