Purpose and activation of ventilation mode
The ventilation mode (designated as FAN, SPEED, FAN SPEED, or FAN ONLY) in an air conditioner is designed for circulating air in the room without cooling or heating it. When this mode is activated, only the indoor unit fan operates, while the compressor remains switched off.

Operating principle of FAN / FAN ONLY mode

However, FAN mode does not replace proper ventilation since it does not supply fresh outdoor air. For effective air exchange, it is recommended to ventilate the room at least once every 2–3 hours for 15–20 minutes.
Adjusting the direction of airflow
For more efficient ventilation, the direction of airflow can be adjusted. This is done using the Swing or Air Flow buttons on the remote control or via an application.
- The swing function (horizontal or vertical) ensures even air distribution throughout the room.
- A fixed position allows directing airflow to a specific area of the room.
