CHILL WIND and HOT WIND Functions in Air Conditioners
Purpose and Application Area
The "Cool Wind" (CHILL WIND)
and "Warm Wind" (HOT WIND)
functions are designed to create a directed soft airflow in cooling and heating modes respectively. These functions provide more comfortable temperature distribution in the room by means of modified airflows.
Operating Principle
In CHILL WIND mode
, the airflow passes through special design elements, including microperforations in the louvers, allowing even distribution of cold air in the room while eliminating direct drafts. In HOT WIND mode
, a similar principle ensures warm air is distributed evenly without creating overheated zones.
Activating CHILL WIND Mode
To activate the cool wind function, set the air conditioner to cooling mode. Then simultaneously press and hold the timer and energy-saving buttons for several seconds. The remote control display will show the corresponding indicator confirming activation.
Activating HOT WIND Mode
To activate the warm wind function, switch the air conditioner to heating mode. Then simultaneously press and hold the timer and display buttons for several seconds. The remote control screen will provide visual confirmation of activation.
Deactivating the Functions
To deactivate the cool or warm wind modes, press and hold the same button combinations again. The internal unit will emit a short beep indicating the function has been turned off.
Technical Features and Compatibility
CHILL WIND and HOT WIND functions are implemented through mechanical and electronic adjustments of the airflow path. Support for these modes depends on the manufacturer and model configuration. Internal louvers often feature actuators and microperforations to ensure laminar air distribution.
Limitations and Specifics
CHILL WIND and HOT WIND functions are additional and may be absent in some air conditioner models. Attempting to activate unavailable functions results in a beep confirmation but no mode activation. Function availability depends on the hardware implementation of the specific model.
Recommendations for Use
These functions are especially useful in rooms with children, elderly persons, or individuals sensitive to temperature fluctuations. They provide a softer microclimate by reducing direct airflow drafts, lowering the risk of colds, and ensuring uniform temperature distribution.
Compatibility with Other Functions
When CHILL WIND or HOT WIND is active, adjustments of louver positions or fan speed may be restricted. Manual deflector control can be locked until the function is turned off. Compatibility with other modes such as TURBO or automatic airflow redirection may also be limited.
